Customer support Technician tools

REMOTE HELP. HUMAN SUPPORT.

A little help.
Right on your screen.

Windows, Mac or Linux. Connect with your support technician, show them the problem, and get back to your day.

LET'S GET YOU CONNECTED

Three steps to remote help.

No account needed.
No password entered on this website.

01

Get the support app

RustDesk is the small app that lets your technician see and control your computer, with your permission.

Choose the Windows installer matching your computer on the official releases page, then open RustDesk.

Get RustDesk for Windows Opens official downloads. Nothing installs automatically.
02

Point it to our server

In RustDesk, open Settings → Network, unlock the settings, then enter these three values on both computers.

ID Server
Not configured
Relay Server
Not configured
Key (public)
Not configured
Paste each value into its matching field, then apply.
03

Share your ID. Approve.

Give your technician the ID shown in RustDesk using your existing phone call or trusted message conversation.

Wait for their connection request.

Check who is connecting, then accept in RustDesk. Only allow the permissions this support session needs.

If your client requests a one-time password, share it only with the technician you contacted. Never send it through this portal.

LESS BANDWIDTH. MORE HELP.

Slow connection?
Keep the session light.

In the connected RustDesk session, choose a lower image-quality preset such as Optimize reaction time (wording varies by version).

  • Lower resolution and use one monitor.
  • Disable remote audio when you do not need it.
  • Pause file transfers, videos and cloud backups.

Direct connections avoid a relay hop. When a relay is needed, a server close to both people helps reduce latency. Speed still depends on both connections.

FOR THE SUPPORT DESK

Open a customer's session.

Configure your RustDesk client with the same server settings first. This opens an installed app, not a browser remote desktop. The Windows support package is portable: if this button does not work, open the package and enter the ID manually.

Used only in your browser. Not sent to this portal's server.

Before you connect.

Will this work entirely in my browser?

No. This website guides setup and opens the native RustDesk client. Full screen control requires the app and your operating system's permissions. Browser-only remote desktop is not included in this version.

What permissions does my computer need?

On macOS, allow Screen Recording (or Screen & System Audio Recording) and Accessibility for RustDesk in System Settings → Privacy & Security; restart the app if prompted. Windows administrator prompts may require local approval or an installed service. On Linux, Wayland capture and input depend on your compositor; X11 is typically more predictable. Ask your technician if anything is blocked.

How do I end access?

Disconnect or close the session in RustDesk. For attended support, do not enable unattended access or set a permanent password. After support, close RustDesk and stop any installed RustDesk service if you no longer need it.

What does this website save?

No accounts, session IDs, passwords, recordings or analytics. Server settings contain only the public connection details. RustDesk itself and your deployment infrastructure may keep connection logs; ask your operator about their retention policy.
